Filtration for African Cichlid Tank?

i dont know how much that canister can handle (it should say what size tank its for), but if its big enough for your tank, a canister filter is far superior to an overtank-so no you dont need the aquaclear. i dont know how big those fish get-but remember the rule of ONE gall per ONE inch of fish (the size they will grow to be, not the size they are now), to aviod overstocking. good luck!
