Acquarium/Fish Tank stats?

I'm doing a research project and am trying to find out the number of canister filters owned by people in the US. However, I cannot find any data. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone could suggest where I shoul look to find out how many acquariums or fish tanks that people own in the US. I have already searched on google for more than 3 hours, but nothing has turned up.
