How do i cycle a EHEIM ecco pro 35 gallon canister filter?

basically you cycle the filter with the rest of the aquarium, that is what you ideally do, or else you might risk disaster. So If you are fitting a new filter to an old aquarium, you better get some used aquarium water, put it in a large bucket and leave the filter working like that, then after you do like 3 water changes you can insert it with the rest of the aquarium
